Kaz Okamoto's

岡本和久です。戦後まもない1946年、目黒区の大岡山に生まれたオジサンです。区立の小学校、中学校、都立の高校、米国に二年留学後、日本で大学を終え、就職。サンパウロ、ニューヨーク、東京で仕事をしました。現在はサンフランシスコに本拠のある資産運用会社の東京オフィスで仕事をしています。家族は妻と娘が一人。5時起床、瞑想、太極拳で1日が始まります。これが1日のなかでもっとも贅沢な時間。後は仕事で戦いの連続です。川柳愛好家。現在、水泳も練習中。最近は昔やっていたクラシック･ギターに再チャレンジしています。好きな食べものはラーメン。

Hi! I'm Kaz Okamoto, I was born in 1946 in Meguro District of Tokyo, Japan. Having had attended local public primary school, junior high school and senior high school, I studied in New York as an undergraduate student for two years and finished my college in Tokyo in 1971, I joined a Japanese company and worked in Sao Paulo, New York and Tokyo. Currently, I am working in Tokyo Office of an asset management company headquartered in San Francisco. My family is comprised of my wife, my daughter and myself.
My day starts at 5 A.M. with meditation and exercising T'ai Chi. This is the most luxurious part of the day, and then the battle begins at the office. I　enjoy writing "senryu" poems and also practice swimming. I have also taken up playing the classical guitar which I used to do in my school days. I love Chinese noodle "ramen."
